How to get your security deposit back
Cleaning is one of the most common reasons landlords hold back part of a deposit. A professional move-out cleaning covers the areas inspectors check first: inside the oven and fridge, inside cabinets, bathrooms, baseboards and floors.

Should I book move-in or move-out cleaning?
Book move-out if you’re leaving the home and move-in if you’re moving into it. The checklist is the same. Tell us about the home’s condition when you book so the job is priced correctly.
Does the home need to be empty?
Yes. Move-in/move-out cleaning is for vacant homes. Please book after the movers are finished. If you’re still living in the home, book a deep cleaning instead.
Do the power and water need to be on?
Yes. Cleaners need working lights, outlets and running hot water, so keep utilities connected through the cleaning.
Is cleaning inside the oven and fridge included?
Yes. Inside the oven, refrigerator, cabinets, cupboards and closets are all included in move-in/move-out cleaning at no extra cost.
How long does a move-out cleaning take?
Most take [5–8] hours for an average-size home, depending on size and condition. Larger homes may get a team of 2 or more cleaners, which speeds things up without changing your price.
How much does move-out cleaning cost?

A professional cleaning covers the areas landlords check most, which gives you the best chance. We can’t guarantee your landlord’s decision, since deposits can also depend on damage and your lease terms.

As early as you know your move date, especially near the end of the month when demand peaks. Same-day cleaning is sometimes available.
