TERMS OF SERVICE FOR MARCHING MAIDS CLEANING REFERRAL AGENCY

Residential Cleaning Service Terms
By booking a house cleaning appointment and or domestic work with Marching Maids Cleaning Referral Agency, I (the client) agree to the following terms of service.
 
I agree to allow Marching Maids Cleaning Referral Agency to authorize and charge my credit card. 
 
I agree to do an inspection before the house cleaner leaves.
 
I agree to call Marching Maids Cleaning Referral Agency within 24 hours if I have any problems with the service.

If you (the client) do not do a walk through with the domestic worker(s) and are not satisfied with the cleaning, and if the complaint is made more than 24 hours after the service, Marching Maids Cleaning Referral Agency referred domestic worker is NOT accountable for the cleaning outcome.
 
I have read the following statement: 
 
“Marching Maids Cleaning Referral Agency is not the employer of the domestic worker referred to you. The domestic worker may be your employee or an independent contractor depending on the relationship you have with him or her. If you direct and control the manner and means by which the domestic worker performs his or her work you may have employer responsibilities, including employment taxes and workers’ compensation.”

Property Management Disclaimer:  Marching Maids Cleaning Referral Agency does not refer domestic workers to do vacation rentals. If a renter is not satisfied with the cleaning and the complaint is made more than 24 hours after the service, neither Marching Maids Cleaning Referral Agency, nor the domestic worker, is accountable for the cleaning outcome.
 
Chargeback Disclaimer:  A credit card authorization will be placed in advance the day of the service.  Marching Maids Cleaning Referral Agency takes credit card fraud very seriously. Make sure that you are using the correct card for any transaction and that the card belongs to you. If the credit card does not belong to you, make sure that we have the card owner’s verbal or written approval. If your home is cleaned by a Marching Maids Cleaning Referral Agency referred domestic worker and you or the card owner reports to the bank that the charges were fraudulent, you will be responsible for the entire cost, commissions, and interest, which will be handled by collections.

Failure to Pay:  In case of any failure to make payment, you will be notified. If the account goes to collections, You will be responsible for the entire cost, commissions, and interest, which will be handled by collections.

Add-on Services:  We are happy to provide you with additional services (e.g., cleaning the inside of the refrigerator/cupboards, deep cleaning of baseboards, etc.). Additional tasks should be requested in advance, as these tasks require additional time.  Additional fees will be incurred when additional services are requested.
 

Construction Clean up:  If there is any work being done during the cleaning, the registered house cleaner(s) are not accountable for the cleaning outcome.
 
Property access:  The client is completely responsible if client chooses to give referred domestic workers key access to their property or hide a key. We strongly recommend that the client use a hidden lock box. Lock box code can be provided for the domestic worker or for Marching Maids Cleaning Referral Agency.

Community Access:  If you live in a gated community, provide access information or meet the referred domestic workers at the gate. If there is more than one entrance, let us know.
 
Laundry Disclosure:  The client is completely responsible if client chooses to give the domestic worker laundry. Marching Maids Cleaning Referral Agency referred house cleaners are house-cleaning experts only, not laundry experts.
 
Rates:  After the service is rendered, you we be charged for your cleaning in one of two different ways: Flat-Rate or Hourly Rate(2 hour minimum). Hourly rate will be either for one or two cleaners depending on your choice. One cleaner= $45/hr (recurring), $50/hr(one-time, deep, move-in/out), $55/hr (Post Construction). Two cleaners = $65/hr (Recurring),$70/hr (One-time, deep, move-in/out), $75/hr (Post Construction)

Reservation Hold:  Your reservation may be placed on hold until you respond to this form. You have 48 hours to cancel or change an appointment and avoid any charges. The time of your appointment is an approximated time. The cleaners will need a 1 hour window for most appointments. Cleaners will wait up to a maximum of 15 minutes to be let into any property.

Cancellation of Appointments/Lock-out:  You may reschedule, add, skip or cancel any of your cleanings.  We understand that an unforeseen event may occur which will create a need to cancel your scheduled cleaning appointment. If, for any reason, you need to change your scheduled appointment, please provide us with a 48-hour notice. Once we take a reservation, we hold that time slot open for you and turn away other potential clients in order to ensure your appointment. In the event of a cancellation with less than 48-hour notice, a cancellation fee of $50 may be charged.
 
In addition, you agree to pay the entire cost of the cleaning for any visit cancelled by you on the day of the cleaning. This applies to visits aborted by the domestic worker when unable to gain access to your home due to being locked out, or if, for any reason, the domestic worker feels that their personal safety is endangered enough to cause them to leave the premises due to actions by you or any guests or pets on the premises.
 
For our safety and the safety of all our clients, please notify us by telephone at least 48 hours prior to scheduled service of any infectious diseases that occur in your household. We reserve the right to cancel and re-schedule in such circumstances.
 
Service Rights:  Marching Maids Cleaning Referral Agency reserves the right to refuse service, fees may still apply.
 
Pests:  Let us know if your home has not been properly treated for rodents, insects, or other vermin.
 
Bio-hazards & Waste:  Let us know in advance if your home has been soiled by pet or human waste, if your home does not have adequate electricity or water needed for work or if you have an extreme mold condition, or any bio-hazard.
 
Expectations:  If you are ordering partial house cleaning we ask that you be reasonable with your expectations, let the referred domestic worker see your priority list, and ask them if all the items that you have listed can be accomplished within the amount of time you are expecting them to finish.
 
Be kind when evaluating the house cleaning work, because house cleaning is arduous labor and, Marching Maids Cleaning Referral Agency domestic referrals are trying their best to meet your expectations. To validate any complaints, leave a written list for the home cleaner, do an inspection with the home cleaner, and report complaints within 24 hours. If you are not happy with the cleaning outcome, we can schedule another cleaner for future appointments.

Quality Control and Contact Information:  We believe that mutual respect and clear communication are the keys to maintaining a great relationship with you.  Therefore, please call us at 805-312-8039 or email us at support@marchingmaids.com.  Our phone contact hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. through 5:30 p.m.  Voicemail will be active whenever we are not available to immediately answer your call.  If we are unable to answer, please leave us a message and expect a return call by the following business day.
 
Non-Solicitation :  It is prohibited for Marching Maids Cleaning Referral Agency referred domestic workers to make direct contracts with clients without paying Marching Maids Cleaning Referral Agency scheduled fees.
 
Discounts:  With all bookings only one discount can be applied per booking.   Terms may change without notice.

Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (e.g, billing or client service) are granted access to personally identifiable information.
